Paperarchive can either apply its results for you or show suggestions for review.

Two processing modes

  • Automatic: Paperarchive writes sender, category, tags, and filename directly.

  • Recommend only: Paperarchive stores suggestions and waits for your review.

You can change this in Settings at any time.

Review modes (more control)

In Settings you can also choose how much review you want:

  • Learning, Balanced, Automated, or Custom

  • Custom lets you set confidence thresholds for document and category decisions

Processing language

Pick the language that best matches your documents. This improves OCR and extraction.

How processing works

  1. Validate file type and size.

  2. OCR extracts text from PDFs and images.

  3. Paperarchive extracts sender, category, tags, dates, and summary.

  4. Similarity matching connects related documents.

Low confidence results create "needs input" items in Inbox.
