What a document is

In Paperarchive, a document is the proof. The system extracts the event behind it (invoice, policy, receipt).

That is why Inbox shows actions and Documents shows files.

Supported formats

  • PDF

  • JPG, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, WebP, BMP, SVG

  • Max size: 50 MB per file

Upload options

  • Upload button: top right on Documents or Inbox.

  • Drag and drop: drop files into the page.

  • Email to Inbox: forward emails with attachments (see "Spaces and Email to Inbox").

What happens after upload

  1. File is validated.

  2. Text is extracted (OCR).

  3. Paperarchive suggests sender, category, tags, date, and filename.

  4. You confirm anything with low confidence.

Manage documents

  • Open a document to preview and edit.

  • Bulk actions: download, update, or move to trash.

  • Trash keeps items for 30 days before permanent deletion.
